  • Just to let you know the Massie Trails were groomed and trackset this afternoon and are in great shape. We are getting some more snow over the next few days, so it should be a great ski weekend.

  • The Massie Hills trails were groomed and are in great shape.
    Jan 20 Webmaster Note
  • We have got just enough wet snow to make the trail acceptable to ski on. Wet snow is good as it sticks to ice. It will be hard to get a good track-set. I would be careful going down the large hills.
    Jan 17
  • The trails were groomed this morning but the tracks are a little shallow. The freeze and thaw cycle has given us a good firm base but the tracksetter doesn't cut into it that well. We need some more snow! The trails were not as icy as I expected and will soften up this afternoon with some higher temperatures.
    Jan 16 Webmaster Note
  • Trail is icy. They only have a track-setter and can't breakup ice like a groomer.
I would not ski down any of the hills when it is bellow freezing. The flat section of trail might have a shallow track-set and will not be great. I will post when it starts to snow again. We require 6 inches and could get this amount in one night.

  • Just returned from the Massie Hills trials and conditions are great for this time of year. There are a few pine needles on the trail and the odd stick showing through but otherwise the trails are great. Thanks as always to our intrepid groomers. Weather conditions are looking good for the entire week with no thaw in sight. Happy skiing

  • The Massie Hills trails were groomed again yesterday. This is a great early start to the season.
    Dec 12
  • Break out your "rock skis * and get ready to hit the trail. The Massie Hills Trail has been groomed and trackset this morning. There are some stones and pine needles on the trail but it is otherwise skiable.
  • A big thanks to our dedicated trail grooming staff.

Hi Folks:

I hope you all enjoyed the season and got out as much as possible. I always find the season goes too fast and I can never get out enough.

We will follow up with a newsletter in the spring and fall to update you on our progress to date.

Thank you all for your membership and participation.

A special thanks to the volunteer grooming staff who did such a great job on the trails this year.
